The mission of the Aerocomm Committee is attract and retain aerospace and aerospace-related programs in the AV. Committee Chair: Dr. David “Jester” Smith

The mission of the Workforce Development Committee is to foster pertinent educational opportunities in the AV along with promoting business involvement with educational issues. Committee Chairs: Van Rider, AVC and Teresa Howard, AVUHSD

The mission of the Healthcare Committee is to highlight the importance of a superior healthcare system to enhance the quality of life, business success and economic development of the AV. Committee Chair: Ben Gocke, Southwest Healthcare Palmdale Regional Medical Center

The mission of the Legislative Committee is to monitor legislative issues of interest to AV EDGE’s mission and to facilitate two-way communication between economic drivers in the AV and our legislative representatives. Committee Chair: Mark Hemstreet, Destination Lancaster

The mission of the Transportation/Infrastructure Committee is to identify transportation solutions that will attract and retain business and industry to the AV. Committee Chair: Matthew Gaines, I.U.O.E. Local Union No. 12

Growth and Retention
The mission of the Growth and Retention Committee is to envision an AV EDGE membership that grows through meaningful value. Connecting current members with resources, relationships, and opportunities that encourage ongoing engagement, while attracting new members who see the benefits of joining. Our goal is for every member to recognize the value of their investment and take an active role in advancing the Antelope Valley’s economic growth. Committee Chair: Ashley Cortes, WM
